7. ERROR Message Index
All network error messages currently start with: "Could not log into ZOOTTA, please try again later:"
-
7.1. - java.lang.IOException: (this is generic to all Java/Symbian phones)
- This means that the phone failed to connect to the Internet. Usually caused by weak signal or moving between cell phone towers.
-
7.2. - java.lang.IOException: (on BlackBerry)
- Could not open tunnel. This is a BlackBerry-specific variation of error 1, and it means that the network settings in use on the phone are incorrect. Resolve this by configuring the blackberry's Internet settings under Options->Advanced Options->TCP, or contact your network operator for the correct Internet APN settings.
-
7.3. - net.rim.device.cldc.io.dns.DNSException: (on BlackBerry)
- Error trying to resolve. This is a Black Berry-specific error, and means that the network cannot find the Zootta server. This can sometimes be resolved by turning wireless off and then back on again. This process reassigns your phones address on the network, the idea being that you should get allocated a good address rather than one with network issues.
